In the 'any word' search, terms are automatically joined by AND and truncated with *
e.g. water dyke finds water* AND dyke*
Use / for OR
e.g. fishing / canning
Use ! for NOT
e.g. festival ! salmon
Use " " to search for a phrase
e.g. "Garry Point"
Use & for AND
e.g. water & dyke finds water AND dyke
Use * for truncation
e.g. farm* finds farm, farmer, farms, farming, etc.
In the Date field, use >, <, >=, <= for greater or less than, or : to search a range
e.g. <= 1999 finds dates earlier than 1999 inclusive
e.g. 1999:2003
